Expanding local dialysis care
Albury Wodonga Health is expanding its renal dialysis service across the Albury and Wodonga campuses.
At Wodonga Hospital, the satellite dialysis unit will increase from nine to 15 care points, and home dialysis capacity will increase from one to three care points. The expansion will also support short-term respite dialysis for visiting patients and people receiving dialysis at home.
At Albury Hospital, two existing renal care points will be recommissioned.
Current status
Construction is underway at both campuses, with operational planning to minimise disruption. Wodonga works are being staged to keep the service operational.
Albury minor works commenced in August 2026, with the care points expected to be operational in November 2026. Wodonga works commenced in late August 2026, with the full expanded service expected in May 2027.
